Cardamom Saffron Lassi
Ingredients
- 20 cardamom pods
- 10 saffron strands
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup whole-milk yogurt
- 3 oz heavy cream (optional)
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 drop of green food coloring (very optional)
Recipe
- Crush cardamom pods, take out the seeds and discard shells
- Microwave half of the milk in a bowl to near boiling, then steep the cardamom & saffron in it for 5 minutes
- Strain out the cardamom & saffron
- Blend all of the ingredients together
- Chill for at least a couple hours, serve over ice
