Garlic Tilapia

Ingredients

  • 5 frozen tilapia fillets
  • 5-10 garlic cloves, minced
  • olive oil
  • salt

Recipe

  • Preheat oven to 400F
  • Drizzle olive oil on the tilapia, and rub a thin layer of salt and olive oil onto both sides
  • Evenly distribute the minced garlic on the tops of the fillets
  • Bake for ~15-25 minutes, check in at 15. Test with a fork, pulling when the fish flakes upon pressure at the thickest points.

Notes

  • One of the few recipes I’ve never tried with jarred minced garlic, I generally stick to real garlic cloves for this one. Worth testing out, but I’m a bit wary that it’d be bad given the primary flavor here is garlic.
  • This is quite an ugly dish, you might want to try sprucing it up with dried or fresh herbs. I’ve also seen a recipe recommend placing slices of lemon on the fish while baking for a cuter vibe.
  • You could also consider swapping olive oil for an herb butter.
