Lapcheong instant noodles


  • 1/4 onion (sliced)
  • 1 pack - any instant ramen
  • Oyster sauce
  • Soy sauce
  • Any chinese/asian chili sauce/paste (optional)
  • Spring onions (optional garnish)
  • Lao gan ma (optional garnish)


  • Stir fry the onion & lapcheong over high heat.
  • Start cooking the instant ramen once they’re on - discard the flavoring packet (or optionally use ~1/4th of it).
  • Add oyster sauce, soy sauce and chili sauce to the stir fry.
  • Once the noodles are done, drain them, and add them to the stir fry along with a few tbsp of water
  • Pull in ~30s-1m, garnish with spring onions & lao gan ma.


Quite a tasty meal with very non-perishable ingredients, that also takes just 5-10 minutes to cook! Ideal solo meal for when your fridge is looking bare.
