Mint Yogurt Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 cup yogurt
  • ~20-30 mint leaves
  • 1 turn black pepper
  • 2-3 turns salt
  • 1 tsp chaat masala

Recipe

  • Immersion blend or food process the ingredients together. Add a bit of water if needed, esp if using greek yogurt.

Notes

  • Some source of heat would be good, ie: green chilis if available.
  • I also like it as a spicy lassi, add extra water and serve over ice with a straw
  • Pretty hard to substitute the chaat masala: the important flavors are cumin, a bit of spice, and dried mango powder for a bit of tang. I’d try cumin powder + chili powder + lemon juice or so, but it’d be a bit tricky to dial in.
